Whew! Sorry for the late update! I have been taking finals and when I sent out the designer of the month messages it took a bit to receive a reply from any of them! So, here we go!

Designer of the Month

designs mostly dresses, which hold a style of elegance and maturity about all else. On occasion the outfits seem to be more fun and carefree to the wearer. The sketches also appeal to the idea, which seems basic in a good way. However, this classy designer does not stop there with dresses, but also designs jewelry of her own too! These earrings appear fun to wear for any occasion and would certainly bring out any woman’s
(or man’s) facial features. I will not give too much away, but I suggest looking into this mature, yet fun style that is being created.

Interview with the Designer
1. What inspires you?
"I am largely inspired by the world around me, especially nature and architecture. I also draw inspiration from other designers, particularly the late Alexander McQueen.”
2. When did you start designing clothes?
"I started designing about four or five years ago. I was becoming more interested in fashion and began with editing existing looks from fashion magazines, adding and eliminating elements in the looks to where I liked them, and from there I started creating more original designs.
3. Is there anyone you look to on deviantART for inspiration or ideas?
"I am inspired by

's creativity. I find her designs to be unique and I strive to make my designs be the same in that aspect. A great deal of the fashion photography across DA also gets my creative spark going.”
4. What is your favorite style?
"Favorite style? I love clothing that's both sophisticated and elegant and makes a woman look powerful. At the same time, I also find a raw beauty in clothing that's wild and primitive.
5. Do you sew your own clothes?
"Sadly, I have little to no skill in regards to sewing, but I have all the tools and supplies available to use, so it's just a matter of me finding the time to sit down and learn. One of these days, I hope to be able to turn my drawings into a reality.”
6. Any advice you can give?
"Practice, practice, practice. That's really the best advice I can give. One shouldn't expect to sit down and draw a perfect figure or awe-inspiring design the first time. Art is a skill we learn, not something we're born knowing how to do. It simply takes practice and patience.”Question of the Month
Have you seen something in your everyday like that has inspired a design?

Movies
Gone With The Wind won this month! While the movie is long and tiresome at some parts, it is overall a great historical film. However, it is not
just that, but it also displays an interesting style. At one part of the movie, Scarlett (the main character) must rip down the curtains and make a dress of them. If that is not devotion to wearing stylish clothing, I do not know what is! I highly suggest it to all of you, if you have not seen it!
Quote of the Month
“Anyone can get dressed up and glamorous, but it is how people dress in their days off that are the most intriguing.”
—Alexander Wang

Remember I take suggestions for any of the categories in the designer of the month journals! Also, I really appreciate your feedback!
Sincerely,
